James Adams won the Marshall-Horton Excelsior Award at the tender age of 10 for his heroic life saving deed when he came to the rescue for his late Uncle Henry. While fishing one day, Henry Ford fell ill and lost consciousness due to a Diabetic episode. During this serious medical emergency, James removed his body from a bank where he had fallen and stayed close until he gained consciousness. When Henry Ford came to, he was discombobulated, but James was able to manage to get him back to his truck to rest until help finally arrived.

James, we continue to salute you for your heroic life saving deed!
